New Year, New Decade, Same Me...

2020 is here, friends. Can you believe we've made it this far?

A few years ago, I made a post about my "New Years Resolutions" for 2017. And in that post, I spoke about how my main resolution was to acknowledge how much I had grown in 2016, and to remember that every choice I had made in 2016 was for a reason, and every decision has made me who I am today, so why would I want a "new me"?

Well, that was when I thought 2016 was the worst year of my life. In some ways, it still is. However, when it compares to 2019...well girl, let me tell ya...if I thought I'd grown in 2016, 2019 turned me into a totally new & evolved species.

First The Worst, Second The Best...?

"I've got a bit of a situation, I need to see her."

Growing up, you believe the first time you fall in love will be just like all those sappy rom-coms you watched every night before bed. A "meet-cute" scenario, followed by a slight hiccup in your love journey, then one of you attempts a courageous act to proclaim your love for the other person, they succeed, and then you live happily ever after. I for one truly believed that this would be the case when I fell in love for the first time.

Jesus, was I wrong.

Let me explain.

Where Have I Been?

Well, look who remembered her password to her blog!

Yes! Hi friends, I know it's been a while. Don't worry, this post won't be a long one. Just wanted to acknowledge the fact that I'd forgotten my password to this blog about 3 years ago...and now I'm back!

3 years have gone by, and is Fawce a different person? Hell yeah, she is! The last few years have opened my eyes; I've traveled even further around the world, had many new experiences, met new and interesting people, and from now on, this blog will be more about that than about what new shade of lipstick I'm wearing.

(But, you know me, I will always talk about my new lipsticks!)

The first couple of posts I have lined up are very much "stream of consciousness" posts, and what will I post after that? Not a clue! But I hope you guys will enjoy my new content, whatever it ends up being!

I hope you've all been grand the last 3 years, and for the many years to come! And I hope you have a wonderful day!

My Top 10 Christmas Films!

December is upon us! And you know what that means...it's the MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR! A time to feel cosy, a time to give back and a time to feel a lot of love! And what is the festive season without some lovely Christmassy movies to help get you in the spirit?

As it's the 1st of December, I thought I would share my Top 10 Favourite Christmas films with you guys. On the 11th of December, I'm flying to Dubai with my family to do a fantastic production of Peter Pan over Christmas, so I want to watch one Christmas film a day until I fly. When thinking of which films I wanted to watch, I discovered that I had 10 favourites that I'd never realised were my favourites! So, without further a do, let's count down from 10!

(DISCLAIMER: This was really difficult to decide which order to put these films in, as all of them are equally fantastic! Also, there will be some Honourable Mentions before I tell you my number one, so please don't feel discouraged if your favourite isn't on my list!)

Turning 22.

Birthday's can be a joyous occasion, especially between the ages of 3-21. With the presents, the gatherings, the cake; it's a day that we cannot wait to come! However, once you've hit the 21st Milestone, twenty-two can be a little bit of a let down. And why is that?

Broken?

These last couple of weeks have not been the kindest. Now, I know what you're thinking: here she goes. Another really depressing blog post about how dull and boring Fawce's life is. Well, you would be correct.

However, today isn't going to be all bad news.

June Favourites!

Hello everyone! I am back today with a new favourite's post! Choosing them was relatively easy this month, so let's get straight to it!

NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams Review!

OK. I have a confession. I am OBSESSED with liquid lipsticks. It's become an actual problem.

What doesn't help is the fact that my local Boots now stocks NYX Cosmetics! A brand that I have been wanting to try out for the longest time! You can imagine my excitement when I saw that their soft matte lip creams were only £5.50 each! So, like any true beauty lover, I bought three of them. Yes. Three. My bank account hates me right now.

I decided on purchasing three completely different shades that would all suit my pale skin tone and blonde hair, and would suit various occasions. Funnily enough, there were a couple of shades that were out of stock that I really wanted, so I may have to go back and check every time I visit Boots. Like I said, my bank account HATES ME.

The shades I purchased were No. 8 "San Paulo", No. 10 "Monte Carlo" and No. 20 "Copenhagen".

L-R: San Paulo, Monte Carlo and Copenhagen.

May 8th Decision: 2 YEARS ON!

Well, hello readers! Today I thought I should do an update post regarding a certain decision I made on the 8th of May 2014. Now, two years later, I feel I should document how I'm doing.

If you have absolutely no clue what I'm talking about, then do not worry! As I posted an explanation on my blog a year ago which you can read here!

But! For those of you who have been following my blog for a while now, first of all, bless you all for hanging around as I know I'm the worst blogger in the world! And secondly, you guys will know all about my journey into becoming a better me! So, let's get started!

Growing Up Overnight

For any normal 21 year old, a house all to yourself for two weeks probably seems like the most exciting thing to come about since they invented the wheel. I mean, what's not to love? The independence! The freedom! The ability to walk around the house in your underwear just because you want to! However, for me, these 2 weeks are going to be a wee bit difficult.

Professional Princess

First of all, I would like to apologise for being the worst blogger in the world. Life has been a little bit crazy, and all I've wanted to do is tell you all about it...but things have been hectic! However, I am back today! And I'm back with a bang!

The reason life has been a little crazy is because I have been in the midst of starting up a new business venture. One that all you Disney Fans out there will really appreciate.

Cinderella in Dubai!

For those of you who have been here since the beginning, you may remember a little post called "Snow White in Dubai" that I posted this time 2 years ago. Well, get ready to receive some major deja vu! That's right! I travelled back to one of my all time favourite places in the world to portray one of my all time favourite princesses. On the 7th of December, myself and our wonderful cast flew to Dubai, hopped in a rental car, and travelled up to Abu Dhabi for the first part of our trip. But not before a week full of intense rehearsals! And boy, were those rehearsals full on!

New Years Resolutions

Hey guys, my oh my, it's been a while!

It's literally been an entire month since I last posted, and I'm really sorry about that! I've just spent the last month in the UAE, a trip in which all of you will be able to read about in a couple of days. But, for today's post, I wanted to talk a little about 2015, and what I hope for in 2016.

Now, I'm not the type that will proclaim that the new year will mean a new me, because I'm pretty sure that I'm not going to change overnight. Plus, all of the years leading up to this year have made me who I am right now, so why would I put all of those previous years to waste? No. New Years to me means that I can look back at the previous year and remember all of the wonderful moments that had passed me by, and recognise that all of the negative moments were purely learning curves for me to grow. New Years means that I can take everything that happened in 2015 into 2016 with pride, and realise that whatever I didn't necessarily enjoy in the past year can be looked out for with caution in 2016.

Remarkably, this past year has been filled with phenomenal moments. This last year, I have travelled to new lands, returned to old ones, made new, fantastic, lifelong friends, pushed myself to leap outside of my comfort zone, and achieved many things that I promised myself I would back in 2014. I have learnt new things this year, grown more as an individual, said goodbye to negative, hurtful people and situations, and dropped a dress size.

I take pride in everything that I have achieved this year, but along with that pride comes a sense of underwhelming enthusiasm for the new year. There is a lot of unnecessary pressure on whatever my resolutions are to be. It sounds silly, I know. But when 2015 has been so extraodinary, 2016 has a lot to live up to.

Which is why I have only one New Years Resolution this year: to continue doing what I'm doing.

The choices I made a year ago were completely correct with how I wanted the year to pan out, and my only hope for 2016 is that it can be filled with just as much joy, laughter, silliness, testing moments, and most importantly, brand new adventures. As the sun sets on 2015, all I hope for is blue, sunny skies in the new year.

(I do need to get back to the gym though, so I'll keep that one on my list as well!)

Happy New Year my gorgeous readers, and I hope your 2016 is full of magic and laughter.

Sunset Boulevard

Hello all!

This week has been completely hectic, but for a good reason: it was show week.

If you guys used to read my Sunny Sunday posts back in June, you will know that my mum and I had auditioned to be a part in a production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's sensational musical SUNSET BOULEVARD! With my mother portraying the eccentric and fabulous film star of yester-year, Norma Desmond, and myself playing the small, but fun part of Mary: the wannabe starlet.

Luxury Haul!

Hello hello hello!

Over the last couple of months, I have been lucky enough to treat myself to a few bits and pieces that are a little bit on the pricey side, but they are all things that I have had my eye on for the longest time. And today, I thought I would share them all with you!

Childhood Dreams: My 21st Birthday

As I am writing this, I am snuggled on the sofa, eating a lot of chocolate, looking at the gorgeous ring my parents got me and dealing with a bit of a sore head. Why you ask? Well, today is my 21st birthday.

And I couldn't be happier.

Last night, I had a lovely little get together with some of my closest friends at my uncle and aunties pub, but it wasn't just any get together, oh no! It was a FANCY DRESS THEME! I asked my guests to turn up dressed as their favourite childhood characters! And boy, was there a selection of nostalgic characters in that pub!

Halloween Costume: Broken Porcelain Doll

Hey guys!

So, this weekend was HALLOWEEN! One of my favourite holidays of the year, and for the first time in years, I attended a Halloween party! When I say "years", I do literally mean YEARS. Seven, to be exact. However, my lack of spooky celebrations over the years didn't stop me from putting together an epic costume. I'm in the theatre; costumes are my thing.

This year, the theme was "SCARY". Now, to be fair, I am scared of a lot of things. Growing up, spiders, ghosts, zombies, anything to do with the horror genre would scare the living daylights out of me. But after working in a halloween maze last year, my fear of anything spooky has subdued a little. But only a little.

Back in my primary school days, my friends used to tell ghost stories in the playground around Halloween, all of which are either ridiculous or far too scary for any 9 year old to listen to. However, there was one story that to this day still creeps me out, and was in fact the inspiration of my costume this year.

A story of a broken china doll.
